Ege University's ERASMUS+ Success

Ege University has achieved another significant milestone in line with its internationalization mission. The results of the 2025 Application Period for Mobility Projects in Higher Education (ERASMUS Plus KA171) have been announced. Within the scope of the program, Ege University has established new cooperation agreements with a total of 28 higher education institutions in 15 countries across 8 regions on 4 continents. Ege University also increased its budget under the program by approximately 2.5 times compared to last year, becoming the sixth Turkish university with the highest budget.

We carry out our internationalization efforts under the headings of collaborative research projects, double degree programs, protocols with foreign universities and research centers, and scientific events. Our efforts to increase the number of students coming to our country and university through the Erasmus Plus exchange program continue. We are among the top universities in terms of sending and receiving the most students under this program. According to the results of the ERASMUS Plus KA171 Projects applications, we have signed 28 new collaborations. We increased our budget from 46,500 euros in 2024 to 108,168 euros this year, ranking sixth among the universities with the highest budgets. Furthermore, we achieved significant success by ranking within the top 4% of applicants among institutions across Turkey. This success is the result of strategic efforts and high-quality project preparation processes carried out in line with our university's internationalization vision. We continue to work to both increase the number of international students and enhance their diversity. We would like to thank the President of the Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the President of the Turkish National Agency, İlker Astarcı, and all our members who contributed to this success for their contributions and support to the recognition and visibility of our university in the international arena.
