Short-Term Residence Permit Information (For Stays Longer Than 90 Days)

International students who plan to stay in Turkey for more than 90 days are required to apply for a Short-Term Residence Permit within one month of their arrival in Turkey.

Exemptions: Students with Turkish citizenship (including dual nationals) or a German Blue Card are not required to apply for a residence permit.

Application Procedure

The initial application must be completed online through the official website of the Göç İdaresi Başkanlığı (Directorate General of Migration Management):

Applicants are advised to schedule their online appointment only after ensuring that all required documents will be fully prepared by the appointment date.

Important:

The correct application type is “Short-Term Residence Permit” (not “Student Residence Permit”).
