Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) is pleased to share with you the updated course catalogue for JLU’s Virtual International Programme (VIP).

VIP in a Nutshell:

The Virtual International Programme (VIP) is a permanent offering within JLU’s cooperation activities, aimed at international students seeking a virtual exchange experience to complement their studies in their home countries. Students can apply directly online, without the need for prior official nominations.

• Students have the flexibility to select from a wide range of online courses, ranging from one to six, across all 11 faculties of JLU at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Over 60 online courses are available, providing a comprehensive academic experience.
• Exclusive access to five German language courses, available at proficiency levels from beginner (A0) to advanced (B2+).
• Participants will receive an official Transcript of Records, documenting earned credit points from JLU.
• Participation in the VIP is offered at no cost to students from JLU’s partner universities.

Enclosed, the recipient will find two important VIP brochures:

1. Virtual International Programme (VIP) @JLU Giessen – This brochure contains information about the regularly available courses as well as general details about the programme. The catalogue allows students to plan their courses, integrate VIP options into their home university timetable, and address recognition issues in advance.
2. A Student's Guide to the VIP Galaxy – This guide is designed specifically for students and includes the complete course catalogue for the upcoming semester, along with additional information about the programme and associated activities. The brochure can be shared with students.

The summer semester will begin on 14 April 2025, with the online Orientation Week for all international students (OWIS).

Students from the recipient’s institution, a valued partner university, are warmly welcomed to join the VIP programme.
